Forming in Huddersfield many, many moons ago, Middle Finger Response met over several bottles of Jack Daniels and set out fusing political punk rock with a wicked sense of humor.

Gaining a reputation as a fast, energetic live act disregarding their own conscience and sense of self respect in the name of entertainment, they were eventually spotted by local label Relight Records who subsequently put out a none exclusive 2 track promotional CD.

The band then headed into Beaumont street studios to lose sleep and record under the guidance of Steve Whitfield (The Cure, Terrovision and The Dead Pets). In the subsequent months the band hit the road performing all over the UK, only to return and find due to a lack of funds Relight Records had disbanded.

Not to be deterred the band continued DIY style creating the love like a car wreck album, with local producer Phil Matthews. Working hard in their own spare time, they continued to put on their own shows and eventually received recognition with supports slots with the likes of Agent Orange and Billy No Mates. Currently the band are still playing shows and working alongside Dead By Dawn records on a new album "middle finger response will get you hooked then jack up the price" due for release this summer.
